Sugar | 1 cup | |
Orange blossom water | 1 tbs | |
Rose water | 1 tbs | |
Cornflour | 3 tbs | |

In Lebanon this dessert is known as “Riz B Haleeb” which translates to rice in milk. Lebanese style riz b haleeb is thick and delicious and made by adding orange blossom water to sweetened rice cooked in milk.
Directions
- In a pot, put the milk and bring it to boil.
- In another pot, boil the rice in 1 cup water until it softens.
- When the milk is boiling, add the sugar and stir well to dissolve.
- After the sugar is dissolved, add the previously boiled rice.
- In a small bowl,dissolve 3 tbs cornflour in water.
- Add the cornflour to the milk and stir.
- Put the rose water and blossom water.
- Let it boil for 5 more min while stirring and it’s ready to serve!
- Pour the riz bhaleeb into bowls,leave them to cool completely before garnishing and popping into the fridge.
