Ingredients

Caster sugar 2 cups
Eggs 4
Flour 2&3/4 cupa
Orange juice 1 cup
Baking powder 2 tbs
Orange zest 1 tbs
Oil 1/2 cup

Fragrant,moist and tender orange cake flavored with freshly squeezed orange juice and orange zest.

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees and prepare a cake pan by greasing it well.
  2. In a large bowl,sift together the dry ingredients (flour,baking powder) and mix until well combined.set aside.
  3. Using an electric mixer, beat the eggs,vanilla and orange zest until pale and fluffy.
  4. Add the sugar and whisk until combined.
  5. Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, fold until well combined.do not over mix.
  6. Pour the batter into the cake pan and bake for about 35-40 minutes until lightly golden brown on top and a toothpick inserted, comes out clean.
  7. Remove from the oven and let cool till room temperature and then gently take out from the pan.
