| Salt | 1 tsp | |
| Pepper | 1 tsp | |
| Onions, finely chopped | 1 | |
| Vegetable oil | 2 tbsp | |
| Ground cinnamon | 1 tsp |
For the sauce
| Garlic cloves, crushed | 3 | |
| Diced tomatoes | 400 g | |
| Salt | 1 tsp | |
| Pepper | 1 tsp | |
| Water | 1 cup | |
| Tomato paste | 1 tsp |
Daoud basha are Lebanese meatballs which are prepared in practically all houses and which is considered to be a very comfortable food.
Directions
- Combine together meat, salt , pepper,ground cinnamon, and onions. Make small balls.
- In a skillet heat the oil. Add the meatballs and cook until well browned on all sides. Remove meatballs and set aside.
- In the same skillet. Put in garlic , cook over medium heat , stirring frequently. Add the meatballs, diced tomatoes and mix gently.
- Add the water , salt , pepper,and tomato paste and cook about 15 min.
- Serve it with pilaf rice
- garnish with toasted pine nuts
