Fragrant,moist and tender orange cake flavored with freshly squeezed orange juice and orange zest.
Directions
- Preheat oven to 180 degrees and prepare a cake pan by greasing it well.
- In a large bowl,sift together the dry ingredients (flour,baking powder) and mix until well combined.set aside.
- Using an electric mixer, beat the eggs,vanilla and orange zest until pale and fluffy.
- Add the sugar and whisk until combined.
- Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, fold until well combined.do not over mix.
- Pour the batter into the cake pan and bake for about 35-40 minutes until lightly golden brown on top and a toothpick inserted, comes out clean.
- Remove from the oven and let cool till room temperature and then gently take out from the pan.
