| Whole milk | 3 cups | |
| Heavy whipping cream | 1 cup | |
| Sugar | 5 tablespoon | |
| Corn starch | 4 tablespoon | |
| Rose essence | 2 teaspoon |
For the orange pudding
| Fresh orange juice | 2 cups | |
| Corn starch | 2 tablespoon | |
| Sugar | 2 tablespoon | |
| Rose essence | 1 teaspoon |
For the garnish
| Ground pistachios | 1/2 cup |
Muhalabia is a Middle Eastern milk pudding which can be made in no time and can be served and topped with your favorite topping.
Directions
vanilla pudding:
- In a saucepan add milk, heavy cream, sugar, and cornstarch mix well.
- Stir vigorously until the mixture thickens and small bubbles appear. Cook for further 5 minutes and add rose essence.
- Pour into individual serving bowls Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Orange pudding:
- In another saucepan add fresh orange juice,sugar,cornstarch and mix well. Stir vigorously until the mixture thickens, add rose essence.
- Pour it over the vanilla pudding and garnish with your favorite topping.
