Sliced beef, sirloin flap steak | 1 kg | |
Orange juice | 1/2 cup | |
Virgin olive oil | 1/2 cup | |

Thin sliced onions | 2 medium | |
Fresh rosemary | 1 leaf |
This homemade Beef Shawarma features tender meat, veggies, and a magical tahini based Tarator sauce.
Directions:
- In a large bowl mix well oil, orange juice,herbs,spices,salt,sumac. Add the sliced meat and marinated. Cover it and let it sit in the fridge for a full night.
- In the other day,add sliced onions and rosemary.
- In a large pot over medium heat pour the marinated shawarma and cook for about 30 minutes or until become tender and the juice gets thick. ( don’t add water to it because the meat will have some excess oil and that’s what keeps it moisture).
- Enjoy the shawarma with a fresh veggies and tahini sauce.
