Minced meat 400 grams
Onion,finely chopped 1
Salt 1/4 tsp.
Cinnamon 1/2 tsp.
Oil 2tbsp.

Potato kibbeh dough

Potatoes 4
Fine burghul 2 cups
Kamouneh 3 tbsp.
Salt 1 tsp.
Olive oil 3tbsp.

A dish with a diverse ways of preparations and ingredients, kibbeh is a mainstay of Middle Eastern cuisine. My version of Baked Potato Kibbeh is an easy, hearty, and delicious meal you’ll want to make again and again.

Directions

  1. Boil potatoes until very soft.
  2. Soak fine burghul in hot water for 20 min.
  3. Prepare the meat filling:fry the onion until yellowish then add the minced meat and cook.
  4. Season the meat with salt and cinnamon.
  5. Add the pine nuts over the ematand cook for 2-3min.
  6. When potatoes are ready,mash until very smooth.
  7. Combine the mashed potatoes with the soaked burghul,add to it kammouneh and salt.
  8. Knead the mashed potatoes and burghul until a soft dough forms.
  9. To assemble the kibbeh,brush a baking dish with olive oil.
  10. Put a layer of kibbeh then top it with the meat filling then another layer of the kibbeh.
  11. Cut the kibbeh and decorate to your liking, garnish with pistachio nuts or sliced almonds.
  12. Drizzle olive oil on top of the kibosh.
  13. Bake in a preheated oven for 25-30 min.
