Ingredients

All Purpose Flour 2 CUPS
Semolina 1/4 Cup
Sugar 2 Tbsps
Salt Pinch
Baking Powder 2 Tsps
Water 2 Cups

Atayef is favorite dessert enjoyed during feats. It consists of a bubbly dough filled with nuts or Ashta Cream. Can be enjoyed deep fried too.

Directions

  1. Mix all the ingreddients together in a food processor.
  2. Place the mixture in a measuring cup.
  3. Heat a non stick pan and pour equal amounts of dough to form small to medium discs.
  4. I love to bring something new to the recipe, so I\’ve changed the typical filling.
  5. I melted some sugar in a saucepan then added some cream.
  6. I\’ve added to the caramel some walnuts and raisins.
  7. I have fried the atayef into a moon shape, then added the caramel loaded with nuts and fruits.
