Ingredients

frozen peas,and carrots 2 bags
Shrunk beef, cut into small cubes 1 lbs
Medium onion, finely chopped 1
Crushed garlic 6 cloves
Fresh coriander Handful
Tomato paste 2 tablespoon
Vegetable oil 2 tablespoon
Salt 1 teaspoon
Black pepper 1 teaspoon

This pea stew is a Lebanese classic comfort dish. The combination of vegetables and tender beef make this a healthy, hearty meal for kids and adults combined!

Directions

  1. In a cooking pot, heat the vegetable oil and fry the onions on high heat until golden and soft.
  2. Add the garlic, coriander, and meat cubes. Stir on medium heat until the meat is cooked.
  3. Add the peas and carrots to the pot. Add salt, black pepper,and tomato paste then add enough water.
  4. Cover the pot and let simmer for 30 minutes or so.
  5. Serve it with pilaf/ vermicelli rice.
