For the Tortilla
Flour 2 cups
Sugar 1 Teaspoon
Baking Powder 1 Teaspoon
Salt Dash
Oil 2 Tbsps
Milk
For the meat
Minced beef meat 1 Kilo
Onions, big 2
Taco spices
Tomato juice 2 cups
Garlic Powder 1 Teaspoon
Cinnamon 1 Teaspoon
Onion Powder 1 Teaspoon
Parprika, ginger, cumin 1/2 Teaspoon each
Toppings
Diced: tomatoes, avocados
Shredded: cheese, lettuce
Sour cream

Taco Thursday. It’s fiesta in the house, be many and let’s prepare this plate together.

Directions.

  1. In a Hot pan, saute the onions in some oil then brown the meat, season with the spices.
  2. Add the tomato juice and let them simmer.
  3. Prepare the tortilla dough, by kneading the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and oil to get crumbles.
  4. Then add milk gradually to get a nice soft dough.
  5. Leave for rest for 15 minutes, covered under a damp towel.
  6. Form into equal balls and leave them to rest for more 5 minutes.
  7. Roll the balls in flour to form a nice disk.
  8. Then place every disc of dough on hot dry pan, leave till they rise, and flip on the other side.
  9. Your meat is ready, your tortillas are too.
  10. All you have to do is to dice some tomatoes, onions and avocados.
  11. Assemble your taco in your own way. You can add shredded cheese, a squeeze of lemon, a splash of tobasco or some shredded lettuce.
  12. Enjoy it in your own way !
