Ground beef 1 lb
Tomato 1 smal
Onion 1 small
Crush tomato 1 cup
Olive oil or vegetable oil 1/4 cup
7 spice 1 tsp
Chili paste 1 tsp
Pomegranate molasses 1 tbsp
Salt 2 tsp
Pepper 1 tsp

Dough

Flour 5cups
Warm Water 1 cup
Warm Milk 1 cup
Egg 1
Sugar 2 tbsp
Yeast 2 tsp
Salt 2 tsp
Oil 1/2cup

sfiha is lebanese small meat pies filled with a mix of ground beef ,tomatoe,onion and spices baked and served warm it can be a main dish ,appetizer and perfect for occasions and parties as finger food 

  1. Mix together water and milk with yeast and sugar and leave for couple minutes or till its foamy then add oil egg salt mix and add gradually the flour knead till forming a soft dough cover and let it rest for about an hour
  2. In a container put together ground beef with small chopped tomato ,chopped onion ,crush tomato ,salt ,pepper ,7spice ,chilli paste ,pomegranate molasses and olive oil mix all good then chill in the fridge for at least one hour
  3.  After an hour cut the dough into very small ball (between 35 to 40 depends on size ) cover and let it rest till it’s double size for about half an hour
  4. take out from the fridge the meat mix and put in strainer and press  so all the water go down
  5. after the dough rest and rises to double size start flatten the dough fill the middle with meat mix the. Pinch the two opposing ends of the circle and then the two opposing other ends and close
  6. broil first for couple minutes so they don’t open while baking
  7. Then bake at 500 F
  8. When their golden color take out and brush with oil and put them on a cooling rack
