Ingredients

Butter 50 grams
Red onions, finely sliced 3
Sugar 1 Teaspoon
Red Wine 1/2 cup
Salt and Pepper
Thyme
Red Wine Vinegar 3 Teaspoons

It’s the magical secret ingredient behind every successful recipe. Onion Jam, tastes good by itself, on a cheesy cracker, and adds tons of flavors in your meat loafs and kafta.

Directions

  1. Heat butter in a medium saucepan add thyme and chopped onions and stir till they are soft.
  2. Add sugar and let them caramelize even more and drier.
  3. Pour the wine and let it evaporates completly.
  4. Turn off the heat, add the vinegar, salt and pepper.
  5. Conserve it in a small air tight container.
  6. Now you have a secret weapon in your fridge. Don’t tell anyone about it.
