Chickpeas (cooked) | 500g | |
Garlic gloves | 3 to 4 | |
Lemon | 1 big lemon | |
Cumin | 2tsp | |
Green chili or chili powder | 1/2tsp | |
Salt | 1tsp | |
Olive oil | 1/4cup |

Msabaha comes only with garlic ,lemon, salt,cumin and chilli; if you add tahini to it then its called Mshawashe! So it’s your choice.
Directions
1. Add the chickpeas with liquid to a pot on a medium heat.
2. Let it come to a gentle boil.
3. Add garlic and chili (if using), let them cook together for 3 minutes.
4.Remove from heat, add tahini(if you want mshawashe),lemon juice salt and cumin.
5. Mix well until all ingredients combined
6. Drizzle with olive oil if you want (I add olive oil to everything).
Taste and adjust seasoning according to your taste
Serve with Pita bread.
