It’s a family plate, rich and hearty. It consists of infinite very thin layers of potato cooked in aromatic cream and topped with cheese and chopped walnuts.
Directions
- Wash the potatoes very well.
- Cut them using a mandoline slicer.
- Press tightly the potato layers into a cake mold.
- Pour over them salted hot water and leave them till them are semi-cooked. Then strain them from boiling water and keep the potatoes in the mold.
- By this time, infuse some light cream with herbs, smashed garlic, garlic powder and some salt flakes. Infusing means to leave them on low heat for several minutes.
- Pour the cream over the cooked potatoes, add a layer of cheese and place them in the oven.
- Garnish with some chopped walnuts and some herbs.
- Enjoy it with your loved ones.
